Information Analyst - Position
Description
Knowledge
Integrity is seeking to enhance our organization with top-tier Information Analysts
to support our clients’ ongoing information management and business
intelligence activities and to recommend and grow new and innovative
information management initiatives. Knowledge Integrity supports ongoing
client activities in data quality and data requirements analysis for data
warehousing and business intelligence.
Tasks
include applying the Knowledge Integrity methodology to assess and qualify
data sources for inclusion in data warehouse projects, to map source data
elements to the target warehouse models, to identify and evaluate data
validity rules, and the use of automated tools for the ongoing validation
of those rules. Our clients have tasked our firm with the developing
programs in support of these goals as well as developing policies and
procedures for integrating this capability into the customer environment. In
addition, the Information Analyst works closely to empower the client
through training and mentoring in information best practices.
The
Information Analyst takes a leading role by performing the following
activities:
- Identifying the dimensions
of data quality that are relevant to our clients’ business
objectives
- Defining objective
criteria that can be used for capturing and reporting assessment of
the quality of client data
- Assessing current data
quality activities and determining whether current employed methods
help to demonstrably achieve the client’s program goals and
benefits
- Develop reports and
metrics that identify effective approaches for measuring conformance
with end-user information and performance management expectations
- Developing approaches for
automating the assessment, validation, and reporting of levels of data
quality
- Integrating and
instituting methods for full life-cycle tracking of data management issues
- Instituting enterprise data
governance and stewardship programs
- Overseeing the integration
of best practices methodology into the client environment
- Assist in the design and
deployment of business intelligence applications
- Participating in and
evaluating the development of enterprise data models and information
architecture
- Contributing to the
development of effective data management training through articles,
presentations, and coursework
We
support our clients at their sites, and candidates must be willing to
travel 40-50% of the time.
Skill Set (required/desired):
- Bachelors
Degree and at least 4 years of professional working experience.
- Project management skills
a definite plus
- Strong analytical skills
and attention to detail.
- Experience in data quality
– desired developing data quality programs
- Experience in workflow
analysis – manual and automated systems
- Effective inter-personal
skills and a record of high-quality customer support.
- Ability to handle multiple
tasks simultaneously, respond effectively to ad hoc tasks, and meet
critical deadlines.
- Experience in measurements
i.e. Six Sigma
- Good writing skills.
- An understanding of
information technology solutions
- Experience in life-cycle
processes – i.e. SDLC, maturity models
- Experience
using Microsoft Word and other office productivity products (e.g.,
PowerPoint).
